1955年7月，北京大学化学系。
工作经历
·长期在中山大学化学系、高分子研究所进行高分子方面的教学与科研工作；
·1960年后为讲师；
·1981年为副教授；
·1987年升为教授；
·1990年经国务院学位委员会批准为高分子化学专业博士导师。
讲授课程
主讲过高分子化学、功能高分子课程。
科研方向
主要研究方向：光响应功能高分子、非线性光学聚合物。
科研项目
主持承担过有关He-Ne激光诱导聚合、光致/电致变色功能高分子、光响应高分子液晶、交联网络型聚合物非线性光学材料，新型聚合物光开关材料等多项国家、省自然科学基金项目。
获奖情况
1. 丙烯酸酯的感光聚合与共聚合（广东省高教局科技进步三等奖，1986）；
2. 烷基芳基紫精的结构与光致、电致变色性能（广东省高教局科技进步二等奖，广东省科委自然科学三等奖，1990）；
3. 光致变色防伪标记油墨（国家教委科技进步三等奖，1995）；
4. 光引发阳离子聚合反应（广东省高教厅科技进步二等奖，1997）；
5. 极化聚合物非线性光学性能研究（广东省高教厅科技进步二等奖，2000）；
